The Zebra DS2278 reads 1D
and 2D barcodes within seconds - from both paper and plastic labels, but also
from (smartphone) screens.
Via Bluetooth 4.0, the
scanner connects to the base station (not included) which is connected to the
USB port of your PC, or directly to a Bluetooth device such as your smartphone.
Thanks to the handy
'presentation' cradle (not included), the scanner can also be used as a
hands-free scanner. Zebra's 'Wi-Fi Friendly Mode' prevents interference
between the scanner and the WLAN connection for both employees and customers. The
integrated 2400 mAh lithium-ion battery offers a guaranteed operating time of
14 hours on a single charge.
Implementation couldn't be
easier. The Zebra DS2278 is already set up so that it is immediately ready
for use (Plug and play). When you connect the scanner to your (cash
register) system, the cables will automatically identify the connection and
connect and install the imager for you.
