The MPG
X570S EDGE MAX Wi-Fi DDR4 Motherboard from MSI is
built on the AMD X570 chipset, supporting second- and third-generation AMD
Ryzen processors with an AM4 socket. This motherboard has four memory slots for
up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM, which can be overclocked to up to 5300
MHz. For storage, it's equipped with six SATA III ports and two M.2 slots. There
are two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots for graphics cards, a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for
compatible utility cards, and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for other PCI-based hardware.
Connect to a wireless network with the integrated Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) or
connect to a wired network connection with the 2.5 Gigabit LAN port. Wireless
peripherals can connect via Bluetooth 5.2, and this motherboard features USB
3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and Type-A ports for high-powered USB peripherals. The MPG
X570S EDGE MAX supports the Windows 10 (64-Bit) operating system.
AMD X570 Chipset
The AMD X570 chipset is
designed using the 3rd generation AMD Ryzen 3000-series processor. Of multiple
improvements, its most noteworthy one is the addition of PCIe 4.0. PCIe 4.0 has
roughly double the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0, which is beneficial for graphics
cards, networking devices, NVMe drives, and more.
